The Secret’s Out!

I wondered what was going on with all this hush-hush and nudge-nudge in my Year 6 club yesterday!

It’s all to do with Mr Hitchen’s friend, Mr Baldworm having nominated this blog for an Edublogs Award. I think that Mr Hitchen is being very modest as he is the cutting edge of blogging at the Falcons!

His ( I mean Baldworm’s ) English blog has changed the way we work at our school: no longer can children hide the truth about their homework or the fact that they have been P.E.E.ing all day in the English lessons!

Come on everyone who is a fan of Baldworm, tell us all about why you cannot manage without Baldworm in your lives any more! Even our girls in their new secondary schools are still excelling in English and History and any subject where they have to use English ( that’s pretty much everywhere) , all because of Mr Hitchen’s ( I mean Baldworm’s ) many tips and hints on how to be the best writer ever and how to annotate, and engage at the same time!

I would therefore like to nominate Baldworm’s blog for the award of:

Year 6 Science Revision

The revision books for science recommended today were So you really want to learn science Books 1 and 2. The answer books are optional; I have them at school if you need them.

The other exam revision books recommended are on the aepublications website.

We also use CGP Revision Guides which are very good for the National Tests.

Bright Minds

Just a reminder that the source code for the Bright Minds catalogue is FR-2746 for our school. FSG gets 25% of ex VAT and P&P order value in vouchers. Calling Earth!

A big hello to everyone out there from The Falcons School for Girls science department. I feel a little nervous but very excited about this venture; it will hopefully enable students to access a wealth of useful information and links which I recommend or need to distribute without wasting time or indeed paper! Eventually, it may become a resource large enough to warrant being visited by others not affiliated with the school but for now it’s enough that it will help make all our lives slightly easier.
